MEGAN JAMES, PMHNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner
Megan received her Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in Advanced Practice Nursing, specializing in psychiatric mental-health. She is Florida board-certified to treat individuals in the lifespan, ranging from children to older adults. She has clinical experience in acute medical care from working in a hospital's progressive care unit, as well as experience in mental health and substance use disorders from working at a dual-diagnosis rehabilitation facility. Before her time in nursing, Megan received a previous Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Florida for Advanced Physiology and Kinesiology: Exercise Physiology.
Her approach to clinical practice is to provide evidence-based individualized care. This includes lifestyle changes, medication therapy (if applicable), talk therapy, and discussion of alternative holistic treatments such as supplements. She works with each client to establish their treatment goals and exploring options together.
